While non-fungible token assets may be a driving concern in the industry right now, Mark Cuban shared that it was not the primary concern of the advisory committee, making clear that the team’s concern for the NBA is the future of blockchain applications in general. He said: 

“It has very little to do with Top Shot, It’s about blockchain applications, of which Flow is just one option.” 

One thing we can certainly say is that the initiative is in competent hands. Each member of the committee is a wealthy man in his own right, each with a share of experience in the realms of technology. For instance, Cuban has engaged successfully in Dogecoin activity in the past, while Vivek Ranadive has been a crypto supporter for years now. Steve Pagliuca is the co-chairman of Bain Capital, which is a successful venture capital unit that has invested millions into blockchain initiatives over the years. 

The National Basketball League is yet to make an official statement about the current advancements in this arena, though the influence of the current party should play a big role in their decision-making in the future.
