Drake Goes All in on Crypto Gambling

The award-winning Canadian rapper, Drake has signed a deal with the Canuck gambling platform, Stake.com. The collaboration includes a series of live streaming experiences and the superstar sharing the spoils of his wagers with fans. Drake made headlines earlier in February for wagering over a million in Bitcoin on the NFL Super Bowl.

Reportedly, since the onslaught of the Covid-19 pandemic, Drake has publicly announced his gambling activities, which, according to sources, amount to multi-millions. Of late, Stake.com is the artists’ favourite platform, and he posts proof of his gambling on Instagram.

Both Drake and Stake.com commented on how pleased they were with the collaboration and that it was inevitable.

The multi-platinum performing artist is no stranger to gambling, and his Instagram page attests to his love for games of chance. Before making headlines with his massive NFL bet, followers saw updates about his roulette wagers. One such occasion was while he enjoyed courtside seats at a Toronto Raptors game, with the caption on his Instagram post reading, “Had an extra seat for my laptop… may as well.”

It was his Super Bowl bet in February that made headlines when he staked an estimated $1,25 million in Bitcoin. Drake placed the bet through Stake.com and won approximately $1.4 million. The star gained popularity in the gambling community following his big win. Apart from international hip-hop fame, Drake boasts an Instagram following of over 1 million users.

Drake’s wagers on casino games are also far beyond standard stakes. With roulette being his favourite, the star reportedly risks thousands on one spin of the wheel. It is said that Drake’s online winnings since December range between $354,000 and $7 million for single spins.

Stake.com announced their plan to stream live events with their newest superstar partner. Drake will play casino games live, in collaboration with Stake.com’s Edward, a streamer on the stakecommunity.com site. The series of exclusive live-streamed videos will appear throughout 2022 and Drake on Stake is a new user experience altogether.

The gambling platform’s co-founder, Ed Craven, commented on the partnership:

“Drake has been an active member of our global community for a few months now, so the next step and natural evolution in the relationship was for us to collaborate on a stream.”

Drake made the announcement via his Instagram page, which includes a promotional video where he wins in a game of roulette while playing on his laptop. The video has over 2 million views and it ends with a display of the partnership ‘Stake | Drake’ while Drake’s caption mentions how he and Stake have come together. He wrote:

“I am going to be announcing a date for an upcoming live event where I play to win some real money and give it all to you because what’s better than sharing the love with my people”.
