It’s Fun In The Dog House with Pragmatic Play

Finding yourself in the dog house is not always a bad outcome, as this online slot game reveals. In fact, lining up wins over the paylines could land you up to 6,750x your bet in rewards. All of the barking mad action comes by way of base spin wins, Wild multipliers, and a Free Spin bonus round.

Melissa Summerfield of Pragmatic Play had the following to say about the appeal of The Dog House:

“The Dog House is another fun and feature-filled title by Pragmatic Play. With its appealing gameplay and innovative free-spins mode, The Dog House is sure to be a smash hit with slots fans in regulated markets.”

 Colourful Canine Character

The Dog House game is set on a fine country homestead, where a luscious and well-kept lawn offers plenty of running space to keep all the dogs happy. The house and trees in the background are dominated by the Doggy Hotel in the foreground, which encapsulates the 5 reels.

The comical cartoon style of the game is visually astute and provides attractive graphical features to please the eyes. The soundtrack is initially a mellow sounding mix of ethereal harp tunes, but upon rolling the reels, the music receives a bit more bounce.

The reel symbols hold the focus of the game and provide winning rewards. The lower paying icons are unimpressive generic card deck symbols, but the higher value icons support the game theme and include images of a Rottweiler, Shiatsu, Pug, and a Daxie. The middle paying symbols are a collar and a bone.

There are two special bonus icons. The Dog kennel represents the game’s Wild icon, which not only substitutes for all standard game symbols to help complete wins but also carries a random multiplier prize of between 2x and 3x for any combination completed by the icon. The Paw Bonus icon lands only on reels 1, 3, and 5, and is instrumental in triggering the main feature.

 Throw A Dog A Bone

The game is played over 5 reels and 3 rows and consists of 20 fixed paylines to land wins on. All wins are made from left to right, where the highest combination per line is paid out. If you have wins on multiple paylines, all will be added to your credit.

Before spinning the reels, you can set your wager to between €0.20 and €100.00, to suite your pocket. Once you have selected the optimum amount that you can afford, you can either press the Spin button manually or trigger the ‘Auto Play’ function to spin the reels for you automatically in accordance with your pre-set selection.

Though the game can haul in rewards, be sure to moderate your gameplay, as the game variance is very high. This means that there can be long spells of no significant wins on the screen. Of course, it also means that winning streaks are bound to announce themselves in due time. Just make sure you survive till they do.

✓ Free Spins Feature

One of the most rewarding offers in the game comes when the Free Spins are triggered.  This is done, when you manage to land 3 Paw Bonus icons on reels 1, 3, and 5.  Before the round starts, a reel of 3x3 reels will be spun to determine how many free spins you will be playing with. When the reels stop, various numbers of spins will be landed on the rollers. They will be added together to provide you with a tally of free games.

✓ Sticky Wilds

All Wilds that land on reels 2, 3, and 4 throughout the feature will remain sticky on the reels with either a displayed multiplier of 3x or 2x applied to each of them. Unfortunately, no more free spins can be added to this round while it is in play.

Will You Let The Dogs Out?

The Dog House is an attractive slot game that will appeal to pet lovers everywhere. While the high volatility and large jackpot potential lean more towards mature gamblers the option to spin for as low as €0.20 will allow everyone to enjoy this comedic canine slot.
