Jaw dropping CAD16 Million Lotto Win Remains Unclaimed

Lotto overseer, the Crown Corporation, confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in Lambton County, Ontario, with the winning numbers being 6, 16, 23, 39, 47, 48 and a bonus number of 33.

To claim the Lotto 6/49 main prize the ticket holder needed to match the first six numbers of the draw in order. With the hard part out of the way, all eyes are on Crown Corporation for any news that the windfall has been collected.

The Clock Is Ticking

The Crown Corporation allows winning ticket holders 52 weeks from the date of the draw to claim their prizes.

To do so the lucky player needs to follow these steps:

1. They must notify the Crown Corporation that they are the winning player
2. Then visit an OLG centre and validate their ticket
3. The winner also needs to sign the ticket to avoid theft or false claims

The Crown Corporation confirmed that at present it has in excess of CA$156 million waiting to be claimed, partly due to absentee winners and partly due to the national lockdowns which impacted the ability of the OLG Prize Center to process winning tickets.
