Powerhouse Partnership – Microgaming and 888 Casino

As one of the founding fathers of the online gambling industry it is always interesting to see the moves Microgaming make in terms of technology, branding opportunities and strategic partnerships. The latest big announcement was that of their content provision agreement with one of the industries longest standing, and widely recognised, gambling brands, 888 Casino. 

John Coleman, Chief Executive Officer at Microgaming, had the following to say in relation to the announcement:

 Great Gaming Tie-In 

The provision of popular, branded and mobile optimised casino games is without a doubt one Microgaming leading strengths. Based on the statement by Guy Cohen, Senior VP at 888 Holdings, it was also one of the key factors in 888 closing the deal: 

“888 Casino’s mission is to always exceed its customers’ expectations and provide the most enjoyable online gaming experience possible and this exciting deal takes our casino offering to the next level. Microgaming has a proven track record in delivering high quality gaming products; this deal will enable us to raise our position of offering the most engaging and interactive casino content alongside our existing portfolio of games.” 

In particular this agreement gives 888 Casino patrons access to branded games like Game of Thrones™, which given the launch of the final season of the television series is a massive global drawcard.  As well as the fact that Microgaming’s network of progressive jackpot casino games is one of the most prolific, and highest paying, in the industry. Their selection of progressive slots has paid out approximately €1 billion to date, with Mega Moolah slot alone having added €13,328,028.16 of that total as recently as March 2019! 

With 888 Holding’s strong position in the Bingo market, with their 888 Bingo brand, they will also be availing themselves of the hundreds of Casino in Bingo (CiB) side games on offer by Microgaming. 

 Getting the Ball Rolling 

The initial rollout of the Microgaming content will begin with 888 Casino’s UK focused offering. However given their licences in multiple regulated jurisdictions, such Sweden Denmark, Italy and even Spain players can look forward to enjoying Microgaming content on 888 in those markets very soon.
