Unwrap Massive Rewards As Santa and Rudolf Duke It Out On The Reels

Christmas may play out differently this year, if Santa and his lead reindeer, Rudolf don’t settle their odds. Usually good friends, these two are at an impasse. Rudolf wants to wear the hat this year and has nicked it from Santa, who is hell-bent on getting it back.

Bryan Upton, Director of Games at NetEnt had this to say of this seasonal slot:

“Santa vs Rudolf is following on from the huge success and laughs of Jingle Spin and a merry addition to our seasonal portfolio that perfectly captures the joy and cheer of this holiday season. Santa vs. Rudolf continues the humorous trend with goofy antics from our two favourite holiday heroes battling it out for seasonal supremacy.  This narrative will be hard to resist even amongst the scrooges in our player base! Happy Holidays!”

Their hijinks result in a good amount of action on the reels, which teases you with rewards of up to 270,000 coins, courtesy of a host of features.

Sleigh-Bound Sights & Sounds

This festive holiday slot may paint a picture of peace and good tidings at first but examine the reels a little longer to see the mischievous undertone and the apparent rivalry on the reels between St Nick and his Red-Nosed Reindeer.

The 2D cartoony styles story unfolds on the transparent reels, which are mounted on a snowy background with ice-capped trees. Santa seems a bit concerned about where his hat might have gotten to while Rudolf is wearing the old red and white headdress… wait till Santa spots him!

The bold reel symbols take centre stage and ensure that your time spent in front of the screen is somewhat exciting, especially when you land matching combinations.

The symbols used on the screen are all aptly adapted to bolster the Christmas tale being told and are well supported by a charming Holiday Spirit tune. The icons include Santa’s Sleigh, a sack of presents, a reindeer collar, a snow globe, letters to Santa, and candy cane designer card deck symbols (10-A).

The game Wilds and potential feature triggers are iconized by two symbols - Santa and Rudolf. They both substitute for all other symbols and have the ability to walk across the screen.

What’s Under The Xmas Tree

This Christmas holiday game is played over 5 reels with 3 rows of symbols each. Wins can be landed over 20 paylines which pay both left to right and right to left. Simply land three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels on one of these paylines for rewards in accordance with the paytable.

All wins are multiplied by your set stake, so the more you bet the more you win. You can play the game for between €0.20 and €400 per spin and scoop up massive wins thanks to paylines that pay both ways during the base game – but Rudolf Spins are where the real prizes are to be found.

✓Walking Wilds & Re-Spins

If Santa arrives on reel 5 or Rudolf on Reel 1, the Wilds will trigger re-spins. On each spin, the Wild will walk one position on each spin, in the opposite direction to where it landed. Once it walks off the screen and there are no further Wilds on screen, the re-spins will halt.

✓Jingle Free Spins

Should Santa and Rudolf walk into each other on the reels, they will merge onto the reels for a fight and trigger 10 free spins. More walking wilds can arrive, further triggering 4 free spins each time Santa and Rudolf meet up, up to 30 free spins in total.

✓Santa Gifts & Rudolf Spins

Each time a Santa or Rudolf Wild lands on the screen, they will be accumulated towards either the red (Santa) meter or green (Rudolf) meter above the reels. Once eight of either is collected, either the Santa’s Gifts Pick feature or Rudolf Spin feature will be played out.

While the pick game awards instant prizes of cash or multipliers of up to 4x, the Rudolf Spins offers 3 spins with random Wilds for BIG WINS! The maximum win on each of Rudolf’s spins is 90,000 coins, so the maximum win is an astounding 270,000 coins. At the max bet of €20 per coin, this could mean a Xmas miracle worth €5,400,000!
