Die Rich Craps
Overview
Originating in 2006 at the Luxor, die rich craps is a version that is played with a single die rather than the two that are commonly used across online craps variants. Although developed as a niche version of craps, it can be a fun alternative to experience.
Pass Bets
To play, the user needs to make a “pass” bet that falls within the permitted betting limits. The shooter then rolls a single die and this will be termed as a “come out roll”. At this point, an even-money bet will be paid out if the shooter rolls 6. Conversely, the bet will be lost if the shooter rolls 1.
The Point
If a 2, 3, 4, or 5 is rolled by the shooter, this score will then be declared as “the point”. The shooter can then roll again while they attempt to hit the point again. If they roll the point again, then the round shall be won. However, please be wary of rolling 1 as this will result in a losing bet.
Payout Odds
If the shooter can roll the point on their second roll, this triggers a 2/1 payout. It will then be 1/1 when rolling the point on the third roll or 2/1 on the fourth roll. Please be aware that going beyond the fourth roll without hitting the point will result in a lost bet. With die rich craps, users will come up against a house edge of 3.70%, which is above the 1.41% that is found in classic craps.
Proposition Bets
Some die rich craps tables can allow players to make proposition bets with the dealer based on which number is rolled next. And no number will be off-limits with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 enabled. To clarify, a winning bet will pay odds of 4/1 while any other outcome is a loss.
