The Czech Republic Gaming Board is the major regulating body when it comes to both land-based and online casinos, as well as all other types of gambling. Find out more about the Czech Republic Gaming Board.
Online Casinos Licensed by Czech Republic Gaming Board
As of now, almost all forms of online gambling in the Czech Republic have been established as legal. Online casinos, on the other hand, are not fully covered by online gambling laws.
Instead, they are subject to the 2012 Lottery Act, that is a revised version of the Law on Lotteries from 1990, that affects online casino gambling in the same way it does with lotteries and similar forms of gambling.
This has resulted in both licensed and unlicensed operators competing under the same laws that are way outdated. For this reason, a brand new law was introduced and started to take effect early in 2017.
