The changes are most notably observed when we leave the shelter of our homes and venture into public, as protocols on social distancing, hand sanitization, and cleanliness etiquette have become the order of the day.

MGM International Resorts has done their part in keeping their staff and patrons as risk-free from COVID-19 as possible. Their latest announcement on 24 June 2020 shows their dedication to go above and beyond the expected measures to ensure that all parties are kept healthy and safe at their premises across the USA.
All guests and visitors to any of their resorts are required to wear face masks inside all public spaces, including hotel receptions, restaurants, spas, and casino floors, among others.
An official release from MGM International Resorts reads:
“As part of our work to continually update and evolve our health and safety policies, we are now requiring masks for all guests and visitors inside public spaces. This will apply to all MGM Resorts properties across the United States and will become effective by Friday. If a guest is in need of a mask, we will provide one. We hope that our guests will do their part to help the collective efforts to curtail the spread of the virus. Guests who do not wish to comply will be asked to leave the property.
It is clear that the Virus still presents a significant public health threat, and masks have proven to be one of the best ways to curtail the spread. We want guests and employees to feel comfortable that we are putting their health and safety first.”
The requirements set out by the world-class resort is an addition to national requirements.
Previously, the business only mandated masks for their employees, but the heightened impact of the pandemic has moved organisations who care to take more drastic steps in observing human life.

The latest addition in safety protocols joins a long list of measures taken by the Resort to ensure that the public feels safe while using their facilities. Other precautionary measures include:

- The installation of plexiglass barriers implemented in areas where social distancing is difficult to practice.
- Handwashing stations are conveniently scattered across casino floors.

- Increased cleaning of the facilities and hotel rooms to maintain a high degree of cleanliness.
- Restaurants and dining facilities provide their menus for viewing via a digital app on your personal mobile device.
