Sports Betting TV Ads Kicks Off in Germany with Bundesliga

This has also seen a push by sports betting brands to get their television marketing campaigns up and running.Sports betting enthusiasts are breathing a sigh of relief as around the world sporting events are beginning to restart which means a reinvigoration of the betting scene.
In Germany this renewed attention is focused on the Bundesliga, the country’s premier football league, which kicked on the September 18th and will be in play until May 22nd, 2020.

One of the driving forces behind refreshing sports betting in Magic Sports Media GmbH. Based out of Ismanig near Munich the local marketing company specialises in advertising and promoting betting, poker, casino and lottery.
With the start of the Bundesliga’s new season, they have secured television advertising space for Betano and Unibet on the sports-focused channel Sport1.

With the free-to-air nature of the Sport1 channel, it offers betting advertisers like Betano and Unibet access to a massive group of sports fans which they hope will continue to bolster their last quarter 2020 earnings in the face of what has been a dismal year.
Not Just for Betting
Despite the fact that companies like Betano and Unibet are entering into their 3rd and 2nd rolling advertising agreements with the Sport1 channel it has been seen as a valuable sales channel for many years but not by the betting market.
Matthias Reichert, COO of Sport1 GmbH, said:
“Our 360 ° platform offers our long-term advertising partners extensive staging options. You know: SPORT1 guarantees an extremely sustainable perception in their respective target group. We are pleased that our existing partners have placed their trust in us."
In a Sport1 press release where they confirmed ongoing advertising deals for the sake of their shareholders, they noted that household paint brand Schöner Wohnen Polarweiss has entered into its 12th annual advertising agreement with the channel.
Sport1 has also re-upped both LEDVANCE GmbH, a divestment of Osram Lighting focused on lighting products and networked lighting applications, and eyecare specialists URSAPHARM Arzneimittel GmbH who will be promoting their Hylo Eye Care range.
