Vault of Fortune is one of those slots which doesn't try hard to impress or make out like it's some flashy new kid on the block. Each element in its makeup has been seen before, several times, but in combination, Yggdrasil Gaming has crafted a dependable avalanche/cascade style slot that hits most of the right notes.

The 5-reel, 20-payline grid sits in a misty-looking room, where precious items lean against walls, stack on shelves, or remain hidden, stored in drawers. Here are some interesting details, too, such as Johannes Vermeer's famous Girl with a Pearl Earring (dated 1665) leaning against the wall in the background. The scene is quite attractive if you use a little imagination to pretend that you are a true master thief ready to clean the vault.
Visually, Vault of Fortune is undoubtedly well-designed, though it's not as surprising a specimen as the developer is known to present. Not a big deal, as Artefacts have an ethereal quality that is commonly found in Yggdrasil games. Furthermore, they have captured that mysterious atmosphere of the museum excellently.
