    Play’n GO are a company behind a large number of video slots, but Grim Muerto is easily one of their most popular and most entertaining slot games. Featuring undead Mariachi in the role of the main protagonists, the slot creates an absolutely insane atmosphere that will cause many laughs for any warm hearted players.

    Graphics and Theme

    Unlike many other slots that use real life events and characters as their main theme, Grim Muerto takes us to a somewhat different reality, where a band of skeleton Mariachi have apparently started one hell of a fiesta. The symbols in the game include several Mariachi symbols as well as some other skeleton themed symbols and the more commonly seen number symbols.

    During the entire gameplay, a classic Mariachi music theme plays in the background, adding to the overall experience and making players feel like they truly are a part of a very special party. The fiesta starts to really heat up once you are able to find three Book symbols and activate the Free Spins, with extra graphical and audio elements creating an even more intense atmosphere.

    Gameplay

    The gameplay of the Grim Muerto slot revolves around the Guitar Wild symbol, which appears randomly on any of the five reels. On every spin in base game, one reel is highlighted as a part of the Marco Siniestro feature, which causes any Wild symbol on that reel to expand to all three slots on that reel.

    Once a player is able to stop three Book symbols on the reels, 10 free spins are triggered. During free spins, one of the merry Mariachi becomes an extra Wild, while between two and five reels are highlighted per spin, expanding any Wilds on that reel to the entire reel and creating huge winning potential. Candle symbols which appear during the Free Spins can trigger 3, 6 or 10 additional free spins as well.

    Overall speaking, the gameplay mechanics in Grim Muerto make the game extremely exciting to play and create a great winning potential especially during free spins where Wild lines are very possible and somewhat common.

    Grim Muerto, is a Latin-style party, with traditional Mariachi that offers entertainment, if, of course, the traditional bards were skeletons, in brightly colored suits and still strangely sporting their mustaches in the hereafter. It consists of 20 fixed pay lines, 5 reels, with the promise of expanding wildcards in random reels, a free spin feature with additional reactivators and wild cards in the bonus round.

    The game is full of small but very punctual animations, winning sequences, sound effects and the entire backdrop of the reel is full of carnival details. This also applies to the symbols, apart from the four skeleton mariachis themselves, the scattering is a book, with a skull cover, and the turns are reactivated, they guessed it, a skull, although decorated with some colored candles. The traditional 10 Ace card symbols complete the low-paid icons, which gives them less than one point in our book, while a classic 6-string acoustic guitar, framed by roses, forms the wild main game. To activate the Free Spins round, be careful with the scattering of the skull book, which will give you ten spins, in addition, there is a second Scatter, the candle skull that is only available in the free spins bonus game. This is a trigger, 1x gives you 3 turns, 2x gives you 6 turns and 3x trigger all ten.

    It’s about time you converted your mobile phone into a portable ‘Disco and join the Spanish Mariachi band in Play’n Go’s Grim Muerto. There are so many things to like in this game but the Day of the Dead theme together with the bright colours ensure that we experience a whole different slots experience.
