Graphics & Theme

Both the theme and the graphics of this title are unique. First, we have a story about an old, ruined psychiatric facility where some really crazy patients are roaming around. The visuals are equally scary. There are reel positions made of leather and creepy illustrations used as icons. The background image features the ruined hospital.

Gameplay

Mental comes equipped with 5 reels and offers 108 ways to win. In this case, the list of standard icons includes ten unique symbols: a hand, kidneys, a heart, a brain, an eye, and five patients. Players get paid whenever they get at least three symbols of the same type on adjacent reels.

At random, up to 13 reel positions can get a fire frame. Symbols found in these frames will split into two parts. Furthermore, you will activate the dead patient feature whenever you get two dead patient symbols on the reels. One of the patients will reveal a random multiplier.

The second and fourth enhancer cells located at the bottom of the respective reels will be activated with four and six fire frames, respectively. They will reveal one of the five patient symbols, a regular dead patient icon, a regular wild icon, a split symbol, three symbols that will expand the reel’s height, or an xNudge wild that will cover the reel.

Don’t forget that hitting a spider icon on the second or fourth reel will activate the mental transform feature that turns the spider into one of the things we’ve mentioned in the previous paragraph. When players hit three scorpions, they will trigger a round of eight autopsy free spins. More fire frames appear during these free spins.

Making combos with three scorpions and one or two spiders will activate upgraded free spins with multipliers, extra spins, and other bonuses.
