Graphics & Theme
The fight between good and evil is an evergreen theme, but in X-Men, this battle looks even more spectacular. The reason is simple – the main protagonists are two groups of superheroes – bad and good superheroes. On the reels, you will notice some photo-realistic icons, effective animations, and virtually no background.
Gameplay
X-Men features 5 reels and 25 paylines. The playing cards symbols are missing and all the main symbols represent some of the superheroes like Magneto, Wolverine, Professor X, Storm, Beast, Cyclops, and Juggernaut.
There is a wild symbol too and this time it comes in the shape of a simple Wild logo. Obviously, it can help players replace any missing basic symbols to create a winning line. The other special symbol is the Scatter which is represented by the game’s logo.
The scatter symbol is very important because if you get at least five scatters anywhere in view, you will activate the creative Free Spins mode. Players will start with an unlimited number of free spins in the Heroes mode. The reels will keep spinning until Magneto shows up. After that, you will enter the Villains Fee Spins mode where you have just eight free spins. However, if you are lucky enough to hit Professor X, you will go back to the Heroes mode.
It’s also worth mentioning that in the base game when five superheroes create an X shape in the middle of the reels, you will get 5x your initial bet. Finally, let’s not forget that X-Men has a progressive jackpot prize too. This feature is activated at random, but the higher your bet the more chances to win this jackpot you have.
