Graphics & Theme

Age of Discovery features a new look at how the unknown parts of the world became known to mankind. The game has a fantastic design, with cartoonish images of sailings ships, avocados, bananas and other exotic fruits that were discovered back in the day. All of the symbols are well-designed and fit perfectly with the theme. Sound effects let players hear the sound of the ocean and the ships, while the soundtrack provides a memorable atmosphere throughout the entire gameplay.

Gameplay

A gold coin is the Wild symbol and will replace all other symbols in forming winning combos except the Sea Monster and Compass Scatter symbols, the latter of which activates the game’s bonus feature.

Age of Discovery has only one special bonus feature. It is activated when 3 or more Compass Scatters land on the reels. The game then takes players to a treasure map with numerous little X’s that mark cash prizes.

Several of the X’s have skulls and crossbones hidden underneath. If they are uncovered, the round ends and the player is awarded a total accumulated cash prize as well as an extra prize, which is revealed as soon as the log books opens up.

Players can land bigger and better cash prizes and easily activate the bonus feature if they play with the maximum line bet and the maximum number of paylines. The bonus feature can be activated fairly easily, but the value of the cash prizes increases with the total bet.
