Peruvian La Dirección General de Juegos de Casino y Máquinas Tragamonedas revi has been established in 1999 and ever since it has been responsible for formulating and proposing standards and policies which supervise and regulate the casino industry in the country.
Operating under the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Peruvian La Dirección General de Juegos de Casino y Máquinas Tragamonedas revi is the major regulatory and supervisory body for the casino industry in Peru. Peruvian La Dirección General de Juegos de Casino y Máquinas Tragamonedas revi was founded in 1999 and it coordinates with other organizations in the country of both public and private administration. The regulatory body resolves appeals that are related to the casino industry in the country as well as proposes and formulates standards and policies that are related to the development and exploitation of slot machines and casino games in Peru.
According to Law No. 27153 which regulated the exploitation of slot machines and casino games in Peru, Peruvian La Dirección General de Juegos de Casino y Máquinas Tragamonedas revi is the competent authority in the country to supervise, propose and formulate compliance with the administrative non-tax rules in the country. As of today. the regulatory body has a separate advisory body which is made of several independent bodies working as the General Directorate of Casino and Machine Games that are all overseen by the Vice Ministry of Tourism.
In addition to inspecting and controlling casino games and slot machines, Peruvian La Dirección General de Juegos de Casino y Máquinas Tragamonedas revi is also responsible for raising gambling awareness according to the 3-b of Law 27153. This law was set in motion to protect vulnerable groups from gambling-related harms.
