Progressive Jackpots Poker
Overview
Although progressive jackpots are mostly reserved for video slots and, to some extent, classic slots, there are also a few classic casino games featuring jackpots. Naturally, these are usually the most popular games favored by the players, such as variations of blackjack and casino poker. Although blackjack may be more popular, Game developers and online casino operators have made sure to offer a decent number of progressive jackpots poker tables as well.
Microgaming's Cyberstud is one of these progressive jackpots poker games. Cyberstud is just a fancy name for the popular Caribbean Stud variation of casino poker. Players need to wager $1 on the side bet and, if they get lucky enough to be dealt a royal flush on the first deal, they will receive the full amount of the jackpot. There are other smaller amounts that can be won as well. For example, being dealt a straight flush at a Cyberstud table will award $20,000 straight up.
There are many other providers offering their own variation of the progressive jackpots Caribbean Stud poker, but for the most part it plays the same. The only difference is for the smaller jackpots, where some providers will pay a fixed amount for straight flush or four of a kind (like Microgaming), while others will pay a certain percentage of the total accumulated jackpot.
Real Time Gaming has another variation of progressive jackpots poker called Let’em Ride. Players need to place a progressive bet of $1 if they want to be in with a shot and they need to come up with a royal flush using their three cards and the two cards revealed after the deal. A straight flush pays 10% of the jackpot.
There are some other variations of progressive jackpots poker games, but Caribbean Stud and Let’em Ride are by far the most popular with the players.
