Spanish Urban Artist Breathes New Life Into BGaming Slot Characters
By Shane Addinall Aug 24, 2023 EntertainmentPopular Spanish urban artist Jay Kaes has been tagged as the one to reimagine characters from Book of Cats, Penny Pelican, and Elvis Frog by BGaming for this year's SBC Summit in Barcelona, Spain.World-renowned casino software developer BGaming understands that localisation is not about changing the language of their content or making sure the correct currency symbol is used in a welcome bonus.
True localisation is bringing the beating heart of the culture into your instant games, which means engaging with a nation’s history, musical influences, and visual arts.
Embracing The Global Community
To ensure that they pay homage to the regions their players are from and to capture their unique style and essence, the crypto-casino provider has used 2023 as a springboard for collaborations with local artists.
This year has seen BGaming collaborate with two amazing artists already. The first event of this nature occurred in January when they partnered with UK-based pop-culture artist Thumbs ahead of the annual ICE London conference.
Their next collaborative adventure took place in June when they teamed up with the Dutch street artist Eelco van den Berg, aka I AM EELCO, who was invited to put a fresh spin on the characters BGaming fans know and love.
The developer has labelled the partnerships as 'when art meets gaming', which is a fantastic way to encapsulate the audio-visual element of igaming and its cultural and social impact.
BGaming Spice Things Up for Barcelona
With the SBC Summit Barcelona fast approaching, we were excited to hear that the paint would flow again. This time, Spanish muralist Jay Kaes would show us the world of BGaming through his unique lens.
Commenting on working with BGaming, Jay Kaes said:
Quote“Experiencing the excitement of having one of my street artworks capture someone's attention and then receiving an offer for a collaborative project is undeniably invigorating. “What made it even more captivating was that the BGaming team showcased an innovative mindset and a genuine willingness to embrace creativity and originality.”
This position was supported by Kate Puteiko, CMO at BGaming, who said:
Quote“We are truly excited to showcase Jay Kae’s unique work that reflects our perception of self and the future in an ever-changing world. Jay has transformed our much-loved game characters in his own style – which combines painting, street art and augmented reality technology to make a mind-bending combination.”
Puteiko teased that event visitors would be able to do more than just look at the art on display when she added:
Quote“We look forward to visitors to our stand experiencing BGaming’s game art like never before, and they will be able to get their hands on a limited-edition range of merch too.”
If you are interested in seeing firsthand how Kaes interprets the character from leading instant slots like Book of Cats, Penny Pelican, and Elvis Frog, the Barcelona event will run from 19-21 September later this year.
