Get familiar with the rules of Craps and start playing one of the most popular dice games on the planet in online casinos today.
Newcomers might consider Craps to be too complicated and chaotic at first when they see what’s going on during a regular round of Craps. Knowing a couple of rules will get you through the game with ease, while knowing all the rules will make it a memorable gaming experience, so make sure to acquaint yourself with the game before making any bets.
The Basic Rules of Craps
In online craps, players place wagers on the outcome of the two six-sided dice that are used in the game. The player throwing the dice is called ‘Shooter’.
With each new round, the following will occur:- The shooter chooses which 2 dice to roll;
- The shooter can make one of two Pass Line bets – Pass and Don’t Pass – while the other players make their own bets;
- The round begins with the shooter rolling the dice, with the first roll commonly known as Come Out roll.
The Come-Out Roll
The Come-Out roll is the type of bet players get to make when they just start a new round of Craps. Pass or Don’t Pass is linked to the total the two dice show after rolling. If the total happens to be either 7 or 11, then the Pass bet wins the round. If the total of the come-out roll amount to 2, 3 or 12, which also known as ‘craps,’ then the Pass line loses the round, with the Don’t Pass line either winning or returning the bet to the player. This happens in online casinos where 12 is regarded as a tie. After the results of the come-out role, the round ends.
In case the come-out roll equals 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, then that number will become a point allocated to the player, after which the dealer labels that specific number on the virtual table. The shooter once again rolls the dice and tries to roll a point number. If they roll the point number , those who chose the Pass line bet win, with the others losing. If a regular 7 is rolled, then Don’t Pass bettors win and the round is over. In all other cases, the player continues to roll until or the other happens.
